چکیده

In this paper, we propose an extremely simple identification protocol and prove its security using the Knowledge-of-Exponent Assumption (KEA). We also discuss the applicability of KEA in various protocol settings as well. Recently, doubts have been raised about applying KEA in some protocols where an adversary has auxiliary inputs. However, we suggest that KEA is applicable in these cases. We present two variants of KEA, Generalized KEA (GKEA) and Auxiliary-Input KEA (AI-KEA), to clarify the proper use of KEA.

The Wrestlers Protocol: A simple, practical, secure, deniable protocol for key-exchange

We describe and prove (in the random-oracle model) the security of a simple but efficient zero-knowledge identification scheme, whose security is based on the computational Diffie-Hellman problem. Unlike other recent proposals for efficient identification protocols, we don’t need any additional assumptions, such as the Knowledge of Exponent assumption. From this beginning, we build a simple key...

On Constant-Round Concurrent Zero-Knowledge from a Knowledge Assumption

In this work, we consider the long-standing open question of constructing constant-round concurrent zero-knowledge protocols in the plain model. Resolving this question is known to require non-black-box techniques. We consider non-black-box techniques for zero-knowledge based on knowledge assumptions, a line of thinking initiated by the work of Hada and Tanaka (CRYPTO 1998). Prior to our work, ...

A New Ring-Based SPHF and PAKE Protocol On Ideal Lattices

emph{ Smooth Projective Hash Functions } ( SPHFs ) as a specific pattern of zero knowledge proof system are fundamental tools to build many efficient cryptographic schemes and protocols. As an application of SPHFs, emph { Password - Based Authenticated Key Exchange } ( PAKE ) protocol is well-studied area in the last few years. In 2009, Katz and Vaikuntanathan described the first lattice-based ...

Hidden Exponent RSA and Efficient Key Distribution

In this paper we propose a variant of RSA public key scheme, called “Hidden Exponent RSA”. Based on this new scheme, we devised an efficient key distribution/management scheme for secure communication among devices in the context of pervasive computing, with emphasis on the simplicity and efficiency of the protocol. We show the new scheme is secure under the strong RSA assumption.
